I am so remiss in keeping up on this blog. My companion and I have been so busy, then we had terrible storms and lost our power and phone for four days. My companions daughter is going into the second week with no power and she is not a happy cammper at all since she has a dressage farm with 36 horses. But we forge ahead. My companion is designing new things and has finally gotten the Rescue Me-ow kitties on the website. I am a little miffed there is not one who looks like me yet but she says it is coming.
I want to post a picture here of a friend of mine named Mango. He is one of my companions friends kitties and he is a very special little man. My companion's friend runs Harbor Hope Cat Rescue in Gig Harbor , Wa. They specialize in really challenging cases. Mango was presented to her by another Rescue that could not care for him. He has cerebellar hypoplasia so is neurologically challenged. He has a very hard time walking but he gets where he is going in a roundabout way and he is so sweet and charming. Mango is a real inspiration, as is his Meowm, proving purr-serverance futhers and a great attitude will get you a long way in the world. My companion keeps his picture on her desk to remind her that , though the path may be roundabout, difficult to manuver, and you may fall a few times, you can still get where you want to go with purr-serverance. And, if you smile when you get there someone will pet you.
My person and I have been very busy too but I think it's time to introduce myself nonetheless. I am Tina, the magnifi-cat, co-cat of the month along with Lucy (why, I don't know...she doesn't care for such public attention while I bask in it...). I live in a warm house in New England and hurl myself right off of my special pedestal and splat right onto my back, just to make my person laugh and give me treats, which she has to special order from someplace very far away. But she'll do anything for me, as she well should. I am sure she'll also send you new photos of me, if you'd like to see them. I'm very photogenic, of course. Well, happy holidays to you and your friends. For me, every day is a holiday. I hope that's true for you too.
